Since the 2016 election, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, there has been an increase in hate groups in the U.S. due to the actions of the current president.

White supremacist and neo-Nazi groups have been emboldened and there has been an uptick in divisiveness, bigotry and Islamophobia. Both Jews and Muslims face increased prejudice and attacks.

Seventeen years after 9/11, there remains much ignorance and misunderstanding about Islam.

One of the lingering perceptions is that American Muslims have not expressed enough outrage and condemnation about these horrific attacks on our nation.

The mass media have failed to present Islam accurately, when it is the responsibility of media to portray all religions accurately, without bias.

O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of God is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And God has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). ~ Quran 49:13
