Not all change is bad – sometimes you must change in order to survive. In this highly controversial and paradigm-shifting talk, Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi challenges us to think about change within ‘Islam’ – not the ‘Islam’ that is unchangeable, but the opinions of scholars who interpret the texts of Islam and think it is ‘Islam’. Our history has plenty of lessons for us to learn from, and modern challenges require fresh thought. There are, as always, extremes in our Ummah: those who want to change everything and make the haram into halal, and those who do not understand that the Shariah allows for some change and fresh ideas. This is a talk not to be missed!

O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of God is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And God has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). ~ Quran 49:13
