This myth is easy to debunk with just one verse from the Quran which is shown below.
But first, Allah is not an ancient Moon-god, as the propagandists keep spreading (for decades). Muslim astronomers precisely studied the Moon’s movements because it was necessary for the Islamic calendar; the crescent moon marks the beginning and end of its months. The same was true in the Babylonian calendar.
If Allah is the Moon god, then how does these propagandists explain this verse 41:37 from the Quran itself, which Muslims believe is authored by Allah.

Sahih International: And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostate to Allah , who created them, if it should be Him that you worship.
Pickthall: And of His portents are the night and the day and the sun and the moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or the moon; but prostrate to Allah Who created them, if it is in truth Him Whom ye worship.
Yusuf Ali: Among His Signs are the Night and the Day, and the Sun and the Moon. Do not prostrate to the sun and the moon, but prostrate to Allah, Who created them, if it is Him ye wish to serve.
