Teacher Arrested on Charges of Sexual Relationship with Student
A former Palm Beach County teacher has been arrested and charged following an investigation into allegations that he engaged in a sexual relationship with a student.
Elias Farley, 26, was taken into custody on Thursday and is facing charges of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and committing an offense against a student while in a position of authority. Investigators say the student involved was between 16 and 17 years old at the time of the alleged conduct.

Farley was employed at Donna Klein Jewish Academy, a private school located west of Boca Raton. According to law enforcement, the investigation revealed that Farley began communicating with the student in June 2025. Authorities say the communication continued throughout the summer using a shared online document.
Police allege the relationship escalated into physical encounters beginning in September. Investigators say sexual activity occurred on school grounds in a classroom in October and later at Farley’s apartment in November.
The situation came to light in mid-November when the student disclosed the relationship to another faculty member. School administrators were notified, and the student’s parents were contacted shortly afterward.

As part of the investigation, police executed a search warrant at Farley’s apartment, where they say they recovered evidence consistent with the allegations. Authorities also reviewed school surveillance footage that reportedly shows Farley and the student entering rooms together on campus.
Farley appeared in court for the first time on Friday morning and is currently being held at the Palm Beach County Jail without bond.
In a statement following the arrest, Donna Klein Jewish Academy confirmed that a former teacher had been taken into custody on charges involving a student. The school said it is cooperating fully with law enforcement and emphasized that the safety and well-being of students and staff remain its top priority. School officials added that support resources are being made available to the community and that no further details would be released due to the ongoing investigation.
