The President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Sheikh Kamaruddin bin Yusuf, commended Saudi Arabia’s pivotal role in serving Muslims around the world, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Bin Yusuf stated that the Kingdom is the pioneering country of the Islamic world with its efforts to spread the tolerance and virtues of Islam.
He also highlighted the Kingdom’s role in promoting the values of moderate Islam, that is based on the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The Mufti also praised Saudi Arabia’s remarkable progress in various fields, especially in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, including Hajj pilgrims and Umrah performers.
Furthermore, he shed light on the Saudi leadership’s efforts to facilitate pilgrims’ journeys from and to the Kingdom and provide them with seamless services.
Bin Yusuf also noted the efforts of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in deepening cooperation with various Islamic institutions to spread the true meaning of Islam and reject extremism and intellectual deviation.
He indicated that Cambodia is currently implementing various scientific courses and programs to develop the skills of preachers to carry out their religious duty.
The meeting marked the presence of the religious attaché in charge of the Kingdom’s embassy, Majed Al-Dhayan and the delegation of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, which is participating in the second scientific session to qualify imams and preachers in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
