Newark man dies days after city shooting, authorities say

NEWARK — One man has died from injuries he sustained in a July 1 shooting, authorities announced in a release Monday. Raheem Ards, 38, of Newark, was shot in the 400 block of South 17th Street last Friday, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose said in the release.…
