WAYLAND, MA — The Islamic Center of Boston in Wayland is welcoming all neighbors into its mosque this week for Open Mosque day. The event will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday April 28.
The event is meant to educate residents about Islam and the history of the mosque as well as introduce them to their muslim neighbors, if they haven’t already met them. “No Walls Between Us” is the theme of the 9th Annual Open Mosque Day at the Islamic Center of Boston in Wayland. This is the third year that over 20 Massachusetts Area mosques are welcoming friends and neighbors to visit our centers on the same day.
Free educational materials will be given out as well as short lectures about Islam and opportunities to ask questions. Tours of the mosque will be given as well. The Islamic Center of Boston- Wayland is located at 126 Boston Post Road.
